Choosing a professional Photographer
10:16am - Jul 23, 2009

Choosing a Professional Photographer for your family memories is

an Investment in your future. The birth of your child, School days,

Graduation, Prom, Anniversaries, Reunions and the day we dream of

and plan for the most, Our Wedding day; deserve to be captured in a

special and unique way that only a Professional photographer can.

Don’t invest in a photographer that is not willing to show you the

items they offer, show you the full work of a photo session. Don’t

settle for seeing a few good shots the photographer took at an event;

ask to see a full event.  ask for references. Don’t settle for your picture

packages having only one pose and being charged for the rest.

With Birch Creek Photography our packages show everything you

will receive in them, there are no hidden after market costs. We want

you to choose the pictures that you like for your package. We allow

you to mix and match your package. We allow you to choose

different poses in your wallets and other prints. It’s your investment,

shouldn’t it be your choice too.

Call Susan K at Birch Creek Photography today, set up an appointment to come in and go over packages to choose the best fit

for you and your budget.

Wedding day thoughts for the Bride & Groom:
7:54am - Jan 22, 2009

    Capturing your wedding day:

A Wedding thought for the Bride and Groom. Your chosen photographer is the one vendor that you will continue to work with after your wedding day? The dress doesn't need to be fitted or worn again, the flowers are drying on the Mantel, the cake has been eaten and your guest have left the reception...but what is left of your perfect day??? All the wonderful memories captured by your Photographer and hopefully a professional wedding album that takes you back to your special day, flooding you with wonderful memories every time you look at it! With this thought in mind... you need to take this into consideration when hiring your wedding photographer and videographer. Will he or she take the time needed to capture these moments? Will they create works of art for you to cherish or just hand you files on a CD that don’t tell your story. Will they meet with you again prior to your wedding date? Will they charge you to be at the rehearsal so that they are familiar with what your long thought out dream is of your perfect day.

There was an article in the 2008 Fall/Winter edition of Premier Bride. The article was about the differences in hiring a professional photographer vs. an amateur photographer for your wedding day. There are no "chances" or "re-starts" on your Wedding day. The photographer has only one chance to get it right.... to capture your dream that you have placed in her/his care! Should you trust that to a family friend or relative?

The following is an excerpt from Premier Bride: www.premierbride.com

"Professional Photography vs. Amateur. The digital revolution in photography has afforded consumers the ability to create photos that can be seen instantly. Unfortunately, those 'awesome' photos on the back of the camera are often ultimately unusable when viewed on a full-sized computer screen or printed. For those of you who have taken what looked like a great picture, only to upload it on your computer and find out that the lighting was horrible, you know what we mean. If you threw it into a picture software program to try to fix the image, you found that the more you auto-corrected the picture, the worse it got. It takes professional training and experience to be able to utilize the ever increasing technological advances in both digital cameras and post-event re-mastering. There is a vast and insurmountable difference between knowing how to push a button and having the experience, necessary peripheral equipment, a full understanding of technique, and above all, the artistry to produce an output worthy of your event. "
Premier Bride Fall/Winter 2008 page 93.

I have the experience, expertise, and equipment to do the job right...I have the history and skills to capture your day the way you have dreamed of for years. Professional portraits come from professional photographers, taken with skill, thought and preparation. Let friends and family members be part of your wedding day, let them participate and enjoy the day.

There is more to your photographs than taking them. There is post-production of not only your Portraits, but of your wedding album design, the artistry involved.

At Birch Creek Photography, Photographer Susan K dreams your dream with you. She captures the moments with a romantic eye, and artistic flair. Susan is writing your fairytale dream with each shot she takes. Your day is captured to share with generations to come.
